Louis Vorster is a South Africa commercial portrait photographer. After receiving his National Diploma (Industrial Design) in Johannesburg in 1996, Louis moved to Cape Town where he received a Higher Diploma (Industrial Design) the following year. He taught  at the Cape Peninsula University of Technology and the Vaal University of Technology for a few years before his visual communication background got him interested in photography. His skills was honed for two years, assisting top local and international photographers in Cape Town and Johannesburg before he decided to pursue a career in photography.

Louis has done work for: The Jupiter Drawing Room, Saatchi & Saatchi(S.A.), FCB(S.A.), Brainstorm magazine, SL magazine, Food & Home magazine, Trigger, Nike, Business Connexion, Vodacom, Ghetto Ruff, Rhythm Records, CISCO, K-Swiss, Urban Brew, The South African Airways, Johannesburg Development Agency(JDA), Xpress Parcel Services, Runners World magazine(USA), Domus magazine and Men’s Health magazine. His photographs has also appeared on television and in books and exhibitions.

Currently he lives on a farm in the countryside close to Cape Town, taking on a diversity of assignments from editorial to documentary, stock and music photography.
